One More Week Left..

Just one more week left until my daughters Sweet Sixteen Party. I must admit as much as I'm happy to be giving this girl a party I have so much school work and exams this coming week that I am exhausted just thinking about all that has to be done.  I pray that God gives me some extra space in my brain this week to absorb everything I need to know and keep on top of all the party plans.

I can't wait to show everyone my dress I picked up today. I got it at JCPenney for like $30. I love it!! I never wear dresses but today I was determined to find one that I did not look horrible in. I had to try on many but I got one I truly adore.

Well, much more to come! I will be starting the baking of the cakes tomorrow. I pray that the cake comes out great. It has been a while since I decorated a cake.

Sometimes strangers surprise you

So I entered a giveaway on Tatertots and Jello a while back for a gift certificate for Smidge and Pinch. I wrote in my entry that I needed to win this giveaway badly due to my daughter's upcoming Sweet Sixteen and that we are  on such a tight budget. Well, guess what? I didn't win.  Instead of winning the giveaway, I was contacted by Theresa, owner of Smidge and Pinch.  She offered to send me some great items for my daughters party. (Jaw dropping moment for me, I couldn't believe a complete stranger wanted to help me.) Yup, she wanted to help make my daughters party just a little bit more special. 











Well, I must tell you it was a such a surprise and there was no way that I was going to turn down her offer. I went to her website and all I have to say is Wow.  Smidge and Pinch has really great party items and honestly the prices are really great too.  So what did I choose?

Zebra Gable Boxes

I will be using these great little boxes to put cookies in for party favors.  I will be putting a small circle that says, "Thank You". 

Sweet 16 Rings

How cute are these rings?  I will be giving them out to the girls at the party.  It will be fun seeing them all dancing around with the rings on their pinky fingers.  I also will be giving them hot pink feather boas. So fancy, Lol. 

I am so thankful for Theresa at Smidge and Pinch. How awesome is she to help me with my daughters party? Insert Applause here please.
